About

Our Organization

WavePool: Student Investment Club is the leading undergraduate finance organization at Pepperdine University. Our mission is to turn students into knowledgeable, passionate investors and strong communicators. Weekly meetings and guest events feature engaging and informative content, including stock pitches. In addition, our selective Student Analyst Team provides valuable portfolio management experience. Pepperdine WavePool is proud of its member placements, with alumni annually entering leading firms in diverse positions. The organization strives to bring intellectually stimulating and fun social events to its members.

Investment Club Meetings

Our weekly meetings begin with an open discussion about market-related current events. Members are encouraged to come prepared with topics or questions they would like to share. In each meeting, a club member delivers a presentation about an aspect of investing. Past topics have included careers in finance, understanding alpha and beta measures, and discounted cash flow models. We also highlight resources and reading material students can utilize to grow as investors.
